Project Hope Recovery Center started in Houston, Texas in 2013. They were a one house co-ed center with a dozen staff and about 16 students. In 2015, the program grew substantially and the decision was made to create a separate 501©3 called Saving Grace. It would have the same mission and heart as Project Hope Recovery Center, but it was necessary to make room for growth. In June 2016, Project Hope planted a center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. It has been the dream and goal to keep growing in order to bring hope and restoration to the community for men and woman. And now, that dream and vision is coming to pass.
In order to open a women’s home in Northwest Florida, we needed to raise a substantial amount. As the coronavirus created chaos in our country, this goal seemed bleak. But, by the grace of God, a generous donor came forward and we are able to not only open the women’s center in Okaloosa County, but accomplish so much more.
Jack, Leticia and their team from Genuine Replacement Parts strive to provide relief and a helping hand to those in need in the community of Northwest Florida and knew they had to do something more during these difficult times. Giving back was nothing new — it was something that Leticia, husband Jack, and office manager Cody Bowling have built into the company’s DNA “We believe the heart of what we do is taking care of those around us” says Cody. “Starting with our own staff and reaching out to our community, we need to make a difference for the hurting and those in need.”
Through her church community, Leticia and GRP decided to partner with Saving Grace Women’s Home in response to the desperate need of a women’s center in the Fort Walton Beach area. “There are so many people hurting right now in our own community and in our own country,” she said “We have a responsibility to take care of each other. Not everybody is as blessed and fortunate as we are, and we should reach out and take care of them during these tough times. I would challenge them to do so.”
